King James gets a visit from LunchRunner

So here's a novel concept to hit the streets of Cape Town. @YourLunchRun is a super fit running freak who will do your run for you over lunch, and he even lets his followers on twitter tell him where he should be running, and takes photos of his route so you feel like you are actually running it! Truly brilliant. Last week he visited our lovely receptionists after dear Seth from 2oceansvibe requested he do so, and here's the proof:

Interview with Alistair King from Wordsetc

It's a little late but here's an interview with the King in King James, Alistair, from literary publication Wordsetc. Al talks about his hobby of collecting first editions of books he loves, along with all sorts of other books. Al's love of books and writing is no secret - he is a writer after all, and last year launched publishing company Johnson & KingJames with his business partners. Have you seen this man?

Fabio here was captured extensively on our surveillance tapes, because between 5 and 6 pm on Wednesday 6 January, he strolled into our offices, picked up Karin's laptop and walked out the building with it. He entered and exited through the first floor parking at Wembley Square, where most of our staff park, and was brazen enough not to bother covering his face. When we reported the robbery, the guards recognised him as a serial thief, who operates at quite a few Faircape sites across Cape Town, so we suppose he is some sort of contractor or construction worker. If anyone out there recognises this man, please email nathan@kingjames.co.za. Any information would be most appreciated.

Hello 2010: til the roof comes off

As some of you may know, our roof blew off late last year. So as long as the roof doesn't blow off, it's going to be a better year than last. For your viewing pleasure, a few shots of our impromptu skylight:

 

Moving swiftly along, it's 2010 - finally! Garp was among some of the first few back at work, and was kind enough to pose on his couch in Al's office.

Yes, we kinda feel like that too after all this holiday business. Well back to work. Hope 2010 works out for you too.
