We launched our new Steri Stumpie blog yesterday, and we're very chuffed with it - we hope Steri fans will be, too. The function of the blog is really to act as a home base on the web for Steri Stumpie. When developing our messaging campaign, we debated creating a micro-site, but the beauty of a brand like Steri is that it gets so much love from its consumers without any prompting that we figured a better way of giving Steri a home on the web would be to give Steri consumers a home on the web. So RSVP, Mnemonic and Atmosphere PR worked closely together to make a site that would feel accessible and really just keep it real, so to speak.
What we plan on doing with the site:
The Official Unofficial Steri Stumpie Ambassador Program will launch at the end of June, and this will be where you can both nominate and read up about the Steri Ambassadors. We've got some fun stuff planned for those legends we identify as Steri Ambassadors (marching band serenades, not to mention being gifted with Steri 6-packs AND an epic sticker pack - rad!), and we'll be documenting all the fun on www.steristumpie.com. Jen and Dan at Atmosphere PR will be organising Steri product drops for bands and cool people who are fans of the flavoured milk - they're currently having lots of fun auditioning marching bands.
We've also provided links to all the fan-initiatied and driven facebook pages here, and we've set up a Ster twitter account here (after much debate, since a lot of brands are very lame on twitter, we decided to go for it and be very frugal with our updates and keep it to updates about Ambassador Serenades, etc - stuff that fans would find cool to watch or read about).
So it's early days, but we really just want this to be a light-hearted and fun place for consumers to interact with the Steri brand. Please feel free to send your feedback through to alexv@kingjames.co.za - we know there's always room for improvement. Lastly, it's been great working on this as we've been able to integrate Mnemonic, RSVP and Atmosphere - you'd be amazed at how smoothly the process goes when Design, Web and PR are all in the same building :).
